  • Music Hall Needs $40 Million More for Renovations

    Music Hall needs about $40 million to complete renovations, according to Otto Budig, the philanthropist leading fundraising efforts. The task force he is leading currently has between $80 to $85 million of the $123 million total. Close to $45 million has come from private donations with another $25 million coming from federal and state tax credits. The city of Cincinnati has committed $10 million.

  • Tracie Hunter Gets Six Months at Sentencing

    Tracie Hunter was finally sentenced last week to six months in jail by Hamilton County Common Pleas Court Judge Norbert Nadel. Hunter’s attorney’s request that Hunter remain free during her appeal process was denied. Hunter will start serving her six-month sentence December 29.

  • Hamilton County Sheriff Buys Drone

    The Hamilton County Sheriff recently purchased a drone to be used for aerial photos of crime scenes and traffic accidents. Hamilton County’s drone isn’t the first in the area, as other departments around Cincinnati have used similar drones for similar reasons. The drone is available for purchase from Amazon for $800.

  • Fifteen Cincinnati Breweries Collaborate on Stout

    Cincinnati’s fifteen licensed breweries are all collaborating on next year’s signature brew for Cincinnati Beer Week. MadTree Brewing is in charge of making BlackTart Stout, which will be start being canned December 26.

  • PromoWest Buys Bunbury and Buckle Up

    Bill Donabedian sold his rights to the Bunbury and Buckle Up music festivals to PromoWest. The Columbus-based PromoWest will handle all booking, marketing and production of the festivals going forward with Ticketmaster managing ticket sales. The 2015 Bunbury festival is slated for June 5-7.
